It doesn’t come cheap, though. The Bowflex Treadmill 10 starts at $1999 at Bowflex (opens in new tab), and while it comes with two free months of JRNY (adaptive workout) features, you’ll need to take out a subscription to use these features after that initial trial period is over. That JRNY subscription will cost $19.99 per month, which is a substantial investment. Given that the Treadmill 10 relies on this JRNY features to justify its significant price, you need to be committed to your fitness before buying this beauty. What else can you expect from the Bowflex Treadmill 10? The gorgeous 10" screen gives you access to either TV streaming services (opens in new tab) (so you can catch up on Star Trek Discovery while you feel the burn), or it’ll give you access to 40+ scenic locations. That way you can feel like you’re sprinting through the open countryside, rather than jogging in your home office. If you find your motivation lacking, you can opt for friendly coaching and motivation while you run, which is - again - tied to the JRNY feature.
Bowflex Treadmill 10: Design and features
If you just want the Bowflex as a regular treadmill, it’ll still track and record your vitals, which is a great feature, and it has all the physical features you’d expect from a premium treadmill. There’s a 5%-15% incline range, and it’ll allow you to run at speeds up to 12mph. You get a Bluetooth armband for advanced heart rate tracking, and handlebars that can measure more basic vitals on the fly. This is great if you don’t own a fitness tracker (opens in new tab). It’s also a folding treadmill, with Bowflex’s handy SoftDrop system (this means it’s easy to fold). While not the smallest piece of hardware to have in your home, it does get quite compact, and it a decent shape for storage when you’re not using it. While we love this as a treadmill, there are question marks over how good it really is without that JRNY membership, which runs to an additional $240 for every year you own the treadmill. Most of the best online fitness services (opens in new tab) are optional, or complimentary, to fitness equipment, but this one is integral.
